Some things are too good not to share. This is an actual argument from a student research essay this term. This student has produced other gems, too, but I cannot shake the profundity of this excerpt. This is not something the student quoted; this is something in the student's own voice.
Also I remember on The Tyra Show when she had a psychic come in and one of the audience members asked if we would ever have a black president and she said yes. And from the psychic's facial expression it seemed like it would be soon.
That is excellent.

ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that the student's spelling and grammar are so good. Are you sure you didn't make corrections? NO FREAKING WAY would I recommend a mind like this into ANY position of responsibility, that doesn't involve making fries.

ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago I had a student use a fact that came from the Phil Donahue show, which by that time was off the air. I Googled it and found a student essay from the 80s.
