They're not my BFFs and we don't get tipsy on wine and giggle all night, but I don't want bad things to happen to any of them. Good guy, a friend. Smart - much smarter than me. He was in adjunct hell, but he had a bright future. He did good work, had good mentors, things were looking up. Had problems, of course, as so many of us do. His got the better of him, and I guess he decided to end it.
