On Putting the Phone Away

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I shall fear no millenials, for they are too busy texting
to purposely inflict any harm on my person (that is,
unless they are driving).

  1. If you shoved their phones up their asses, they wouldn't think any better, or worse.

    1. The only use most millennials have for their brains is to keep their ears from colliding.

  2. I have a meme I can't copy here that is a picture of a herd of college students with their heads down on the their phones. The line is "What's the point of being afraid of the zombie apocalypse when you're already a zombie?"

  3. I've got a couple of sections populated mostly with the ones who're going to wield power over the others (computer scientists, including a few who are already successful app and/or game-creators) and/or protect them/others from themselves (aspiring cyber-security experts). Fortunately, most of them seem like pretty decent people.

    1. Interesting that you think the computer nerds are going to be in positions of power. I usually tell my nerds that they are going to be the ones who implement the decisions (and be well payed and decently treated), but that the bosses will mostly be business majors and the most successful few percent of the popular kids from high-school.

Nerd subject do offer routes to the top, but its a hard slog and they'd better start getting some econ and management course work sooner rather than later if they want to be good at it. A few do exactly that.
