Draft Posts (continued).

This is just a reminder again for folks.

If you have written a post that has not appeared, you probably have one of these draft posts just sitting on the Blogger server.

If you want to publish them, please change the date, otherwise they'll be posted way back in the archives and won't get read...

  1. Also note that the server seems to be in California, so that the local server time is Pacific Daylight Time at the moment. So if you put in a draft and want to publish it at a specific time, you have to figure the UTC difference to your own zone. California is UTC-8 for Standard time and UTC-7 for Daylight Time. If you figure it wrong, it never gets published.

It's like a local legislature that passed a law that there was to be no porn on the Internet until after 10pm.

  2. that's partly right. it gets published at whatever time you put in, but it's that time as it relates to Pacific Daylight time. it's true, you may be one of those east coasters and you've chosen the time of 7 am, a perfectly reasonable FIRST POST OF THE DAY kinda thing. but then it doesn't appear...well, not until 10 am eastern.

no single time zone works for everyone. I know Cash is on the west coast, perhaps Fab is, too?

  3. Fab, you might want to make life easier on yourself and adopt a policy that posts still in "draft" mode after, say, two weeks will be deleted.
