Art is a funny thing. If that artist is good, after a lifetime likely spent living very modestly, the moment he dies, the value of his work will skyrocket. (I trust this artist is a "he," since he has a beard.)
I have to print this one out to show undergrads. When they come a-knockin' at my door all eager about grad school, I tell them it's like being an artist: if you're good at and like doing anything else, do that instead.
