Kenyon College Lockdown.

  1. When I was in college doing geology research for a summer (wanted to try something different, kind of like the Amish before their confirmations), a con escaped during transport to another prison. My research partner and I didn't know, so when no one else showed up to fight over who got the van first, we just rolled out to the area we were studying and took samples while the sun was still low. When we returned the van to let the other group have a turn, they rushed out of the geology building and hugged us crying. We still didn't know what it was all about. But apparently the guy had been spotted by helicopter (we did notice that several helicopters had flown by) in the area where we were taking samples.

I try to pay more attention to stuff like this now. It's good that the college protected their students. (Not that mine didn't, it was just a fluke. I'm just saying... it's good to be cautious I guess).

  2. Update: Sarah Maynard has been found as of 10 hours from this post, but the others are still missing. Sheriff David Barber is running a manhunt, but it's not looking good (the longer it takes to find them the greater the chance they will be found dead.)
