I'm glad that they brought in Captain Obvious to explain that "On the one hand he’s describing physical reality in terms of what’s present.... On the other hand, the interpretations that he’s making about those places is clearly...certainly not mainstream thought."
He was being sarcastically creepy in that way only the mentally disturbed know how.
SchmittyRKD, Captain Obvious is a "cable nooz" tradition, whether he is the foreign policy guy saying the Iraqis will love us back in 2003, the stock market whiz talking about the permanence of the "New Economy" in 1997, or a shrink pontificating after a grisly shooting. Captain Obvious is to cable and the networks as the weatherman is to the six o'clock news.
