One of my nephews -- and his father -- used this same argument when Party State U refused to let him graduate until he'd passed Spanish. Party State U is 20 miles from the U.S. / Mexican border.
Then to get the diploma he has to work in a maquiladora in Matamoros, Tamaulipas (located across the Rio Grande from Brownsville, Texas) until he develops a basic Spanish vocabulary.
Break this down for me: The Onion USED to fully manufacture their vids; all playas were actors. This reads to me far more like a Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert type piece, where REAL peeps are occassionally scrutinized through a satiric lens. Anybody know if that kid is acting or is he being mocked by the show?

ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's an actor. The Onion's actors are so good, you're sure they're real.
