I'm torn. On the one hand, I don't know why she can't do up her pants. And I'm sure this is objectifying women and eroticizing male sexual pleasure at the expense of women's lived experience.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, I'm just so glad to see a real woman with, you know, an actual body. Like you might see on the street if you were lucky. Not a an air-brushed stick-figure.
So, I mean, if they're going to eroticize objectification of women, at least they're showing us a real woman for a change.
It's well documented that most heterosexual American males like women who are curvy. Does anyone actually like the emaciated look that some models have? It's such a hard look to wear, like bouffant hairdos.
DeleteShe can't do up her pants because the t-shirt she's modeling in that shot is making a joke about DNA (unzipping genes, see). It's not easy to model clothing without some objectification, is it? How proud her father, a man of Bubba's own age, must be! Let's just hope his horse doesn't get jealous: that would be real trouble.
