single pre-spring bad thursday haiku


I.

the robin sings. march.
gray, dark, damp day, but song--and
no essays to grade.

    In addition to robins, I have light and unseasonably warm temperatures and, yes, spring break next week. But I also have essays to grade. I'd almost trade all of the others for "no essays to grade."

    I suspect that getting to that point took some very hard work and/or careful planning on your part, Greta. Congratulations, and enjoy!
