ReplyDeleteExactly my thought, especially since this is coming from Fox News, which I'm sure has done plenty of stories on (supposedly) lazy, overpaid professors.
DeleteMy school is building new dining halls and gyms at least as fast as it is building new computer-equipped classrooms -- and we definitely need more of the latter. I'm sure the administration would say it's all necessary to keep tuition-paying students coming in the door, and they may be right, but something is off in the priorities here.
Wait till they graduate so underemployed and burdened with debt that all they can afford is Top Ramen.

ReplyDeleteThe University of Chicago has the shittiest selection of food of any campus I've ever been on. There's a reason people hate living in Hyde Park. There are about 4 restaurants, 1 bar, and the business center (the largest cafetorium on campus) is nothing but sub-par, fast food.
