FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) --
California State University, Fullerton, campus police said they are
searching for a possibly armed suspect who may be hiding out on campus.
The school asked students to shelter in place until further notice during the search in the Langsdorf Hall area.
Authorities said the incident may have started as a jewelry robbery and attempted homicide by three suspects in San Bernardino County. The suspects fled the scene and exited the freeway in Fullerton near the CSUF campus, where one suspect was arrested and another was holed up in Mihaylo Hall on campus.
The third suspect apparently carjacked a silver Toyota Camry and led authorities in a high-speed pursuit toward Compton. That suspect bailed on foot, but was shortly taken into custody in a park without incident.
