We've recently started using Google Analytics for stats. Since we don't have any revenue from the page, it's mostly useless. It does have one feature that's cool though; we can see how many people are on the site at a given time. (91 is a big number! This morning when I was on it was never more than 20-30.)
This is useless information, of course, but as I've broken my "only work from 9-10 am" rule today, and as I'm waiting for the food dehydrator to finish off this awful turkey jerky, I had nothing better to do with my time. Sabbatical clock is running incredibly fast, but I know how lucky I am.
Another detail that is fun is we can see what pages people are looking at, and it's mindblowing how many current users are reading stuff from long ago. I always assumed that the first page got all the hits, but apparently not. The archives must be solid gold!
PS: I just added a few tabs to the top of the page representing some "labels" that have been getting hits today!
