I am against these open forum posts. If there's no new material just leave it blank.
My department's instructional support technician, a handy expert and a great guy to work with, and I came up with a term for fear of social media. That was easy: "Electroagoraphobia." The best we could manage for fear of spam was "Electrosulliophobia," although I know you're not supposed to mix Latin and Greek.
Oh I definitely need to meed someone with anatidaephobia!!!!
Anonymous, start your own blog and never have an open forum post then. Problem solved. Please, just for the love of God, don't go emailing the RGM a bunch of shit. We don't want to lose hir.
Anonymous reminds me of the old joke about the man who kept a glass of water on his nightstand in case he felt thirsty in the middle of the night, and another glass of water on the other nightstand in case he didn't feel thirsty in the middle of the night. The open forum posts you don't want to read are just like that glass of water the man in the joke didn't want to drink. Except the man in the joke was okay with that, since he had the ability to, you know, not drink a glass of water, whereas the ability to refrain from reading something you don't want to read seems a bit more difficult to master. Start by not clicking the link and take it from there.
