Oxford's 15kb of fame!

Famous!

Some crazy map-maker spent two years of his retirement making a new map of the US, and as you can see, Miami U manages to make it onto his version, at left, where it failed to warrant mention on National Geographic's rendition of the same area, on right. For this reason, Slate declares it the Greatest Map Evar. Better yet, you can buy it for Under $40!

Of course, working for 2 years on a map you sell for $40 is the only thing that makes adjuncting look like a decent gig.

  2. My respect for National Geographic Society just went up another notch! If they marked Miami they'd have to mark every other glorified high school just to be fair.

    Go Bobcats!!!!

  5. Hold it - what happened to Darla's post? why have last year's numbers dropped from 1400 to 1398? Why does Third Tier Reality have a link to a page that doesn't exist?

    What is going on?

  6. Does nobody at the blog monitor what is going on? Why are their posts taken down? Why won't anyone answer my emails. I'm patiently asking you to answer my questions. Earlier the format changed and it was hard for me to even read the page. I want to make sure that doesn't happen again.

I truely appreciate all the moderators do. I'm not a reactionary.

But I think we deserve quicker responses to questions and queries.
