It's been my Christnas treat to watch how desperate things have gotten around here. 90% of the posts are just cribbed articles from other websites. And only part timer Cassandra does any commenting.
I take great pleasure in the fact that your site has failed because I believe my profession is an honorable one, and that losers like the few of you are freaks, anomalies. Do my profession a Christmas favor and shut down this barely operating blog. It's an embarrassment.
And then apply for a real teaching position. Being an adjunct is okay until about 30. But then you should get with it and get a real job.
I think your comment says a lot more about your character than it does about the site. And speaking of characters, if you're Honest_Prof (again), here is some Christmas reading for you: Hill, Nathan W. (2012) '“Mirativity” does not exist: ḥdug in “Lhasa” Tibetan and other suspects.' Linguistic Typology, 16 (3). pp. 389-433.
I don't read that many...what with being over 30 and an adjunct...the dial-up internet in my parents' basement is just too expensive. I was hoping for broadband as a "Christnas" treat.
Fancy spilling the beans to us 12 Juco teachers, PC?
...and Merry Christmas TO the RGM!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your work, and best wishes for 2015.

Nobody seems to be denying what Anonymous has rightly pointed out.
ReplyDeleteTime to close it down. Pretty sad group here. I read some of the rare original posts. Sour. Grapes.
Don't like your job. Get a better one.
Merry Christmas, RGM! Glad to be helping the page fail again.
ReplyDeleteAnd a joyous Festivus to the trolls, who are airing their grievances in keeping with the season.
Same to you, RGM! Long live the misery.
ReplyDeleteA late Merry Christmas to everybody here!
