Oh dear...I love to be congratulated for something I couldn't have stopped - although several times last night I was begging for a way out!! LOL.
But thanks for the notes, and especially to my friends who've been in contact with me during my long absence.
After my divorce and somewhat reluctant move from the PNW to Southern California, I have been blessed with a new teaching position, a new love, the amazing growth of little Jake, and even a wonderful and amiable relationship with my ex, who managed to transfer very near by where we live. He's very much a great dad to Jake, and - this is for Cal especially - he's become a golf partner to my NEW "boyfriend." It's a weird and modern family, I guess, but it's ours and I love it.
I send my best to all from the "goon old days" and the new names I see on the page. I'm so glad the misery continues. I vow to reappear a bit next school year.
I also must advise all of the ladies to NEVER get pregnant with a due date in the waning days of a semester! It was unplanned (but happy!), and my colleagues are doing yeoman's service to help my classes negotiate the last weeks.
(I get to grade though, and I don't know how I agreed to that!)
Congratulations!!
