Facebook targets me for ads relating to education. I often get ones for MAs in Education or Curriculum Design. One that made my blood boil said, "Your students deserve it."
They're already paying your salary by deigning to pay tuition to enroll in the class for which you earn your salary. So, of course they will!
At least that's what the customers say.
Too bad they're *actually* only paying the administration's salaries...since many of us earn the equivalent of a semester's wage from having just one or two students enrolled.
Gee, where does all that extra tuition money go if not to the actual instructor? Hmmm...
I too am getting sick of all these education ads. Even the Chronicle gets tons of ads for the For-Profits. That just strikes me as wrong somehow.
It's all part of the "education industry bubble" that has sprung up since the other bubbles burst. That bubble will pop when the government cracks down on these guys for being two steps removed from a diploma mill.
Speaking of mills, a few months before RYS died people were encouraging unemployed proffies to apply at religious schools. All I can say is that if you have to go that route, look at the colleges closely because some of these places lack accreditation, especially the ones run by certain Protestant sects. You might also have to sign some sort of morals clause or attend services, but then that sort of frippery goes with the territory.
Yes. Nice comma splice. Doesn't anyone know what the hell a comma splice is anymore? I just found a ton of them in papers I graded today, after teaching my snowies about splices for about 6,000 hours. And the MA in Education? That's probably the most worthless-ass degree a human could possibly get, as it just indoctrinates you into Eduspeak until you're just another snowflake-ass-licking Educrat with a bucketful of Edu-jargon who can't teach worth a shit, but who clings tenaciously to the failed dictates of outcome-based education. Teachers are born, not made.

My favorite part of the ad is the comma splice.
