A Smack and Run

Received this morning:

Hi,

I'm trying to read the [Dickens] chapters but they're all set up vertically [in Adobe Reader]. How do i make them so that they're horizontal and i can read them on my computer?

Thanks

Idea 1. Turn your head to the side.
Idea 2. Use the "view" menu, just like in almost EVERY application where you want to change what a page looks like (except LaTeX, blah blah blah).
Idea 3. Do your reading when you are supposed to, and not two days before the exam on said reading. This reading was assigned literally a month ago.

  1. What? No asking them to turn their monitor on its side? That was always my favorite.... actually had somebody do it once too.....(completely ignoring the fact that our monitors do, in fact, rotate 90 degrees and autochange settings like pdfs for easy reading!)

  2. If the technology is for something they want to do, they are like MIT PhDs. If it's for something to do with our classes, they're like cavemen.
