pretty bad autumn sunday haiku

I.

autumn leaves drift by
my window. plagiarism?
everyone does it.

II.

now you can find me
by my window, my face turned
to the waning sun.

i breathe sunlight, the
breeze ruffling stacks of early
efforts, my eyes closed.

with little effort,
i am ten again, running
home to dinner, warm

autumn night. homework--
so different then--still beats
september's cadance.

III.

yellow marks passing
time the way red marks failing
grades--autumn display.

  1. Yes! Particularly II. Breathing sunlight, being ten again, the rhythms of autumn. Wonderful, Greta.

  2. By "yes" I mean "wonderful," not "pretty bad."

  3. Personally, I'm partial to I, but agree that II is pretty nice, also. And III ain't bad either.

  4. So not bad. Very good, in fact. Thank you for brightening my day, which has been rainy and windy and altogether craptacular.
