I saw Heavy D about 20 years ago. He was one of the more joyful, rather than angry, rappers. So he and Yaro synchronized in my mind when I saw them both in the browser at the same time. It's not a competition; they can both be liked. And are. By me, anyway.

I've actually seen one of them in real life.
Part of the coolness of Yaro is that he is, no doubt, joyfully unperturbed by a hip hop obit following his post. I can even imagine him downloading a Heavy D song for his iPod playlist with "the Bruno Mars."
