Your students are both wittier and more literate than mine (which may not be saying much, but I doubt any of them would use the word "twat," let alone realize that there's a gendered reference involved. Of course, it may simply be cultural, since they'd recognize "cunt," but that's an uglier insult, I think. And I'm still not sure that they'd notice the logical fallacy in using opposite-gendered insults in the same conversation, or think to invoke hermaphrodites in a reply).
