Atua Bear Sends In Some Facebook Statuses.

  • Might as well make reading 200 pages fun and get a pedi at the same time :)
  • how many tabs does it take to pick a research topic? I couldn't tell you because I currently have 16 open...but no topic. how is this even possible?
  • I will not let my stats homework be the death of me. I don't want end up as just another statistic.
  • I'm not going to romanticize this experience; my brain feels like mush.
  • professor asks dumbfounding question
    class stares blankly
    teacher reads answer from reading
What the hell did that just mean??!?!?!?!
  • Psht! A- on my Media and Politics midterm. Take that snobby poli sci majors!! (excluding those that I already liked before :p)
  • Just keep swimming, just keep swimming... So much more difficult that I could have possibly imagined. Graduate school is definitely not for the faint of heart...
  • My education level alone makes it difficult for me to identify with 92% of the US population, let alone fellow 22 year olds.
  • I am just one big cheater this semester lol what i found was my professors quiz bank (with answers) online.
  • Apparently a beer is what keeps him focused on the midterm paper....
  • Today is one of those days I wish my brain didn't function the way it does. I wish I could take a vacation from it. :/
  • First 10 page paper DONE. Took me 10 hours to write it, and another two days of nonstop/stressful planning and thinking about it, but hey, it's done right? .... = This is my life.
  • omg. i started reading history, i read like a page, and then somehow ended up on amazon ordering things online. i have a serious problem.
  • Everything seems more fun than doing history reading. I'm cleaning to avoid it....
  • Well, I bombed my Comm *** midterm. Happy monday to me
  • One of the most humbling things I've learned from graduate school (thus far) is how much I don't know
  • I'm pretty sure everyone lied to me when they said grad school was easy -___- too.much.work.
  • Starting grad school has meant less time for doing activism/organizing and the further I get into my thesis, research, classes, etc.. The more I miss it. We do have the power to create change. We've been taught otherwise, but have the courage to speak up, take action, & teach; especially at times when even learning is a revolutionary act
  • happy that i am in class and not watching the niners get their teeth knocked in

  1. The one about the 200-page pedi sounds like a proffie to me.

    1. I was thinking student, mostly because I suspect a pedi doesn't take that long (I've never had one, since (1) it has never seemed necessary, and (2) I find being groomed by strangers weird/discomfiting rather than relaxing).

  2. Some of these are pretty encouraging. I like the "this is hard" comments, at least the ones that assume the proper response to that is to just keep trying/swimming. And 10 hours plus planning time begins to be a reasonable amount of time to spend on a 10-page paper. I hope (s)he left a bit of time for revising, too.
