Thanks, Fab, for posting. I thought it pertinent in light of our recent discussions about colleagues AND about our perpetual need to give our flakes a reality check. I'm just ignorin the logical fallacies in his piece...
I watched this episode just the other day on Netflix. I'm sort of torn, because while I love the smackdown of the 20-year-old generation, I also appreciate that customers in the service industry can be complete assholes, and make unreasonable requests.
The customer isn't always right, and some requests and demands are stupid, even if the person behind the counter is a kid just out of high school.
I did love his comment about the uniform matching the building, though.
A-FREAKING-MEN.

That was funny. I cringed a little bit because we see them as 20 year olds and they see us as the providers of customer service.
ReplyDeleteAnd sometimes they're the assholes expecting us to provide customer service.
DeleteWhat worries me most about this is that this behavior used to be unseemly for 14-year-olds.
