Dear me. I always thought RTFS meant, "Read the friendly syllabus."
Although now that my syllabus is 17 pages of complex legalese, I don't expect my students to read it. I certainly wouldn't have. But I know what's in it, so I often win the arguments, since all I have to say is, "It's IN THE SYLLABUS." (Thunder clap!)
