2013 Hits.

Our two stat counters always vary. Statcounter, from which the graph below is taken, shows us around 1.5 million hits for the year, with April and December of 2013 being the heaviest months, around 137,000 hits. Blogger's counter always shows us with about 20% more hits - it's nearly always this. (Neither counter counts moderator hits.)

June and July were the slowest months, just shy of 90,000 hits each month.

So Blogger shows us about 165,000 hits in December, and about 1.75 million for the year.

We're down about 14% from the last calendar year. (I mean, it's no surprise. We're dying. We're always always dying.)

  3. It looks like we left 2013 at the exact same level that we started. That's a good sign, right?

  5. We are all one day closer to dying.

Traditional academia is dying, according to numerous news reports. MOOCs and online courses will replace all of us. What can replace CM? We are already online. What supercedes hypertext?
