Hmm, Bubba, I'm not at all sure what happened with that post of yours, but I am glad you are not banned. You have been a real presence on this site, a real personality with interesting things to say. I don't always agree with you but I like you. Glad to see you back, and not too much of a cowboy to apologize. Or maybe *enough* of a cowboy to apologize.

  2. I, too, am glad to see you back. The place wouldn't be the same without you.

But you're still looking a bit fuzzy, or pixelated, or something, there, and pretty colorless. Will you be coming back into focus soon?

  3. For what? I can put two and two together, but I don't want to assume.

  4. A: Glad you apologized, glad the post was deleted, and I'm glad you're still here.

  5. You apologize by posting a Big Thirsty (an established and beloved feature of this page) that is really not a Big Thirsty at all?

    I predict unhappiness.

I saw your post and it was a little Charlie Sheen-ish if I may say. You're always on the edge, Bubba, but it was OVER.

  7. It always seems like something exciting is happening on this site, but only those who are hovering IN the CM zone get to see it!

Bubba, you can be hard core sometimes. And other times you can be quite endearing. I can only assume... but glad you're still here.

  9. A couple of days ago Bubba posted a rather harsh and pointed message aimed at another community member. It violated the "Rules of Misery." I notified Bubba that it was being taken down. There is no continuing problem whatsoever. Bubba is a welcome member of the community, as is the target of that particular post.

  10. Given the nature of the original discussion, "target" was not the best choice.

I do not see the need for an apology. I was outraged by some ideas that Southern proposed. He was offended by my comments. It's the nature of a heated discussion (regardless of the rules). Water under the bridge.

  11. I am sure you're simply being gentlemanly, h_p, but I hope you do understand that an apology is necessary. Expressions of outrage, to say nothing of personal insults and abuse, however strongly the writer feels, are not appropriate in a public venue and certainly not on this blog. That's why there ARE rules. This really ain't the NFL.

it was not the stuff Bubba suggested in that dialogue, it was a separate direct statement about what Bubba thought about you - in its own post. It was as clear a violation of the CM rules as I've ever seen, and I think I've been reading pretty close since the beginning. It was only up briefly.

  13. Another point to remember, our egos appear attached to our ideas. So when someone says "I don't like your idea", people hear "I don't like you".

  14. What's the psychological unlocking needed to understand, "You're a fucking asshole"? I'm dying to learn.

  15. maybe the Wisconsin Republican Party will file an FOIA request so we read it!
