End of Domain

If you come here via our current thecollegemisery.com domain, replace it with collegemisery.blogspot.com. We are unable to return to collegemisery.com as the asking price for it - while lower than it was - is still about $2000.

Most online searches find the page easily so it is only a problem if you have bookmarked one of the two earlier purchased domains.

  1. Why would a domain name cost so much money? I see them advertised for $10 or so on go daddy.com.

    1. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the answer is that there are vultures who snatch up just-expired domains for the normal price, and then hold them hostage at exorbitant prices. I think there have even been some lawsuits over this practice by entities concerned about protecting their trademarks. It's a pretty sleazy business model, but apparently it works, because it's been around for some time now.
