An article in Gawker links to this delicious vidshizzle.

Teachers At Massachusetts High School Pull Spectacular Stealth Disco Prank on Unsuspecting Students

It's that time of the year again, when students and teachers come together in harmony to delight in the pleasure of not giving a fuck anymore because it's practically summer already anyway.

Taking advantage of the high spirits (and spirits high), Abby Kelley Foster High School history teacher Mike Penney invited his students to reflect on ups and downs of the school year that was — all while secretly sneaking his fellow teachers into the background to do some stealth disco.

He then set the footage to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," and the rest is, well, pure magic.

  1. Love it! Saw it on Gawker, too, this morning.

PS: Why are my ads trying to make me join the Coast Guard?!?!?

  2. Awesome!

My ads keep telling me it's Mother's Day. It ISN'T - a) it's Tuesday after and b) I'm in the UK, Mothering Sunday was back in March.

  3. And my ads tell me I need to sign up for Xfinity. How do they know I have no TV? But this footage... THIS is the reason some teachers are disqualified from every entering a night club. EVER.

I do like the uniforms the students have to wear.

  4. I get ads for overseas business degrees and computer programming courses. Clearly, Google doesn't appreciate my chosen career.

This video made me laugh. A lot. Thanks for sharing, Cal!

  5. Very cool! Also very cool that there is a school named after Abby Kelley Foster (sometimes-forgotten American abolitionist).
