Chat Time

That was pretty fun.  Sorry if anybody had technical problems (die IT, die!).  I'm looking for new widget to use for next time.

If you're curious, we had up to 11 people online at once and we talked for about an hour and a half.  If you missed it, you missed out.

We'll do it again some time soon.

S/O to April, who came to CM from my chat announcement on Twitter.  (See RGM, it's not all bad.)

  1. Wha? It's there. I promise! A couple of people have already logged in. Try again.

  2. Nope, I got nothing. No idea why. Doesn't work on either firefox or safari.

  3. I think you can only see it on the main CM page, not the page just for this post.

  4. Nope. Doesn't work on any of my devices at all. Oh, well.

  5. Wait. Let me check. I don't know why this should be different than last time.

  6. I can't see it either and I'm on Chrome.

  7. I was on chat - but it cut me off and then disappeared.

  8. Chatango tech support suggests clearing your cookies. (No kidding.)

  9. Cleared cookies. Bumped me off. Oh well.

  10. Hey, not only did we have a long chat session, we talked in the comments too!

Seriously, has anybody used chat widgets before? We used chatango here but lots of people had problems. I've heard that chatwing is popular. I'll try that one or something else next time. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    1. I wish there were a way to compliment one person without it sounding like a dig at another.

    2. Thanks Lionel but that's not going to happen, mainly because the RGM is doing a hell of a good job.

As General Sherman famously said, "Burn Atlanta to the effing ground."

Wait, that's the wrong quote. Sorry. Here it is: If drafted, I will not run; if nominated, I will not accept; if elected, I will not serve.

    3. And people wonder why mods burn out. Ungrateful.
