Maybe what I'll do is rig a high-voltage power supply to every seat in my classroom, with a keyboard and master switch (with a safety, of course). I'll explain that I need to have this to feel safe in the case of an active shooter; I can simply arm the system and electrocute any chair I wish.
Much safer than a handgun, I'm sure everyone would agree. And it makes me feel safer. So it has to be a good thing, right?
I'm SURE I'd never use it when someone asked me what was going to be on the exam.
